The Browns select RB Dylan Sampson with the 126th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Sampson was a one-year starter at Tennessee and played in 35 games, totaling 422 carries for 2,492 yards (5.9 yards per carry) and 35 touchdowns. He became the lead back his final season in 2024 and took 258 carries for 1,491 yards and 22 touchdowns, which led to him becoming the SEC Offensive Player of the Year and earning second team All-American honors.
Sampson is the second running back the Browns have drafted in 2025—they picked Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins with the 36th overall pick Friday on Day 2. He joins Jerome Ford, Pierre Strong Jr. and Judkins in the RB room.
“We obviously value running the football in our organization,” Browns Director of Player Personnel Dan Saganey said. “Guys that have speed, toughness, run with vision and instincts, anytime you get two (of them), you’re excited. You don’t have to have one guy carry the load. You can keep people fresh.”
