The Golden State Warriors have a chance to really take control of their first-round playoff series Monday night — and they’re hoping one of their biggest stars will be ready to go.
Jimmy Butler, who missed Game 3 with a pelvic/glute bruise, is officially listed as questionable heading into Game 4 against the Houston Rockets.
Butler’s absence was noticeable over the weekend, even though Steph Curry put on a show and the Warriors grabbed a crucial 104-93 win at home.
Now, the question remains. Will Butler be on the floor when the Warriors try to go up 3-1?
According to Danny Emerman of the San Francisco Standard, Butler participated in the Warriors’ morning walkthrough at Chase Center on Monday. That’s a good sign, but his final status will reportedly be a true game-time decision.
If Butler is available, it could be a massive boost for Golden State.
Throughout the season, Butler has brought a hard-nosed toughness and two-way impact to a Warriors team that badly needed it. Without him in Game 3, the Warriors leaned heavily on Curry’s offense and Draymond Green’s defense to keep the Rockets at bay.

Another night without Butler could make things trickier — even at home.
Tip-off for Game 4 is set for 10:00 p.m. EST. If Butler suits up, expect a loud Chase Center and a fired-up Warriors squad looking to inch one win closer to advancing.
