PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Former Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel made it clear before the Rose Bowl that he is no fan of cold weather.
Social media was reminded of that over the weekend when Gabriel’s past interview with KOIN 6 sports reporter Brenna Greene made the rounds on X.
Gabriel was selected by the Cleveland Browns on Friday with the 94th overall selection in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
With Cleveland being an obvious cold-weather city with an outdoor stadium, social media users were quick to point out Gabriel’s interview with KOIN on Dec. 30, 2024 moments after he was drafted.
One particular X user’s post of the interview was viewed nearly 2 million times.
“The more sun the better,” Gabriel said. “Do fans want to sit in the snow and the rain? Let’s make arenas. Let’s make domes.”
The interview can be seen in the video player above.
