Watch: Kanye West Slams Kim Kardashian’s Tease of North Song With Playboi Carti
Playboi Carti has entered the chat.
After Kanye West called out the rapper over his request to collaborate with Kanye’s oldest daughter North West—a request Kim Kardashian reposted on Instagram—the “Sky” musician is clapping back.
“YE,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter, March 19. “STFU.”
The succinct response comes after Kanye slammed Playboi Carti for telling Kim, “TELL ME[sic] NIECE NORTH SEND ME A SONG,” in a March 18 Instagram Story—one that the SKIMS founder then shared to her own social media.
Following the exchange, Kanye took to X, writing as though from Playboi Carti’s perspective, “HEY NORTH YOUR DAD GAVE ME MY BIGGEST SONG AND CO SIGN AND I LEFT HIM OFF OF MY ALBUM BECAUSE OF HIS TWEETS OH BUT NORTH YOU MY NIECE I GOTTA USE YOUR VOCALS.”
He followed up hours later with, “I HELD MY TONGUE ABOUT MOT[sic] BEING ON CARTI ALBUM HIM GOING TO MY EX TO ASK MY DAUGHTER TO BE ON A SONG 2 DAYS LATER WAS TOO FAR NOBODY FINNA PLAY WITH ME.”
The back and forth comes amid ongoing drama after Kanye released—and soon deleted—a song by disgraced rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs which featured his daughter, as well as Diddy’s son Christian “King” Combs and musician Jasmine Williams.
According to the “Gold Digger” artist, Kim allegedly tried to block the release of the song, titled “Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine,” ahead of its March 15 release.

Kanye—who has been vocal about his support of Diddy—shared messages in a since-deleted X post he claimed to be from his ex-wife in which she said she “sent paper work[sic] over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her.”
The Kardashians star also referred to a trademark placed on North’s name, which they’ve also done for their other three children, Saint West, 9, Chicago West, 7, and Psalm West, 5.
“I asked u at the time if I can trademark her name,” Kim allegedly continued. “You said yes. When she’s 18 it goes to her. So stop.”

However, Kanye wasn’t to be deterred. “Amend it or I’m going to war,” he allegedly responded to the trademark comment. “And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You’re going to have to kill me.”
