Netflix has debuted the first official trailer for Adam Sandler‘s Happy Gilmore 2, sharing a quick look into what fans can expect from the sequel almost three decades later.
Premiere July 25, the film sees Sandler back as the iconic Happy — only this time, it looks like he’s hung up his golf clubs. Something compels him to return to the golf course, however, with Virginia (Julie Bowen) telling him, “We’re not done with golf.”
Joining Sandler and Bowen from the original 1996 film are Ben Stiller, Christopher McDonald and Dennis Dugan, while Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (Bad Bunny) takes on the role of Happy’s caddie. Also making appearances are John Daly, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Conor Sherry, Ethan Cutkosky, Philip Fine Schneider, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Travis Kelce, Blake Clark, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau and Paige Spiranic.
Kyle Newachek (Workaholics) directs while Sandler and Tim Herlihy write and co-produce alongside Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds.
