A new giveaway offers gamers a taste of what Epic Games and Disney are cooking up in the lab before they launch their playable Fortnite universe next year.
To claim it, you must link your Epic Games account with a MyDisney account (see below for detailed instructions).
The outfit is part of a wider Star Wars-themed push before Star Wars Day on Sunday, May 4, offering a glimpse at Disney and Epic’s ambitious plan to fuse gaming and entertainment.
With Disney also premiering a new show inside Fortnite and Epic teasing a free Star Wars game on its store, the promo hints at what’s to come from their $1.5 billion (£1.1bn) partnership: a shared universe where players can play, watch, and shop their way through Disney’s biggest franchises.
As part of the Star Wars extravaganza, Epic has built a special island where players can be among the first to watch Star Wars: Tales of the Empire.
You can grab this Asajj Ventress loading screen by watching the first two episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld inside Fortnite from May 2
Coinciding with the launch of Fortnite’s new season, the first two episodes of the animated show —starring Count Dooku’s apprentice Asajj Ventress, a fan favourite from the cult Clone Wars series —will premiere in-game on May 2.
Players who join the watch party can grab a free Ventress Loading Screen and, between episodes, duel with blasters and lightsabers or explore the island to earn points.
Finally, Epic is expected to drop a free Star Wars game on the Epic Games Store, possibly as soon as Thursday, May 1. The title remains under wraps, but with Star Wars: Battlefront II given away in the past, the smart money’s on one of EA’s Star Wars Jedi games.
In the meantime, you can grab the free Star Wars skin inside Fortnite by doing the following:
- Open a browser and go to www.epicgames.com. Epic recommends using incognito mode to avoid login issues with saved credentials.

- Once signed in, click your display name in the top-right and select Account from the dropdown.
