The Yankees followed a frustrating loss exactly how they should, taking out their frustrations on a floundering Orioles team. Carlos Rodón dominated, the offense turned in another stellar performance in a season full of them, and the Yankees cruised 15-3. They’ll send out Carlos Carrasco out tonight in search of a series win, and though Carrasco has not been particularly effective this year, hopefully this offense will give him plenty of support, facing off with young lefty Cade Povich, who sports a 5.04 ERA this year.
On the site, this morning Peter will deliver his AB of the Week, featuring great work from Austin Wells, and Madison will run through last night’s action from the Yankees’ rivals. Later, Nolan analyzes a good start from infield prospect Jorbit Vivas and how that could factor into the Yankees’ plans this year, Matt writes the latest entry in the 2000 Yankees diary, featuring an old Roger Clemens and a young Roy Halladay, and John writes on the 100th anniversary of a historic baseball day you probably haven’t heard of.
