Many fans may disagree with that statement, but for Arizona native Cierra Ortega and 24-year-old registered nurse and model Nicolas “Nic” Vansteenberghe, things seem to be going well. The two went on a date during Episode 25 of “Love Island USA” Season 7, which aired on Monday, June 30.

During the date, Nic asked Cierra to be closed off, which she accepted, stating that she only has eyes for him. Once the two returned, the Islanders all seemed excited to hear the news.

Cierra was also getting to know Elan Bibas, a 24-year-old tech consultant from Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, with whom she was coupled up in Casa Amor. Now that she and Nic are exclusive, this connection will likely fizzle out.

Nic and Cierra are the first and only couple on the island to currently be closed off, which has been concerning viewers as the show approaches its finale.
