Did this Trump MAGA influencer just shade pajama-wearing GOP congresswoman?

Laura Loomer, a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, may have indirectly thrown shade at Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) after the congresswoman documented her road trip to Capitol Hill on social media.

In several back-to-back posts on X, Mace had recorded her nine-hour drive to Washington, D.C., to vote for the president’s “big, beautiful bill,” after her flight was cancelled due to a severe weather warning. Wearing heart-shaped spotted pajamas, Mace vlogged her several pit stops along the way on Tuesday night, including in a Wawa and Waffle House.

“I want to do a side of hash browns, smothered, tapped, diced, peppered. And then I want to do a waffle with chocolate chips like the young lady at the end of the aisle,” she posted in one video early Wednesday while giving her order.

In another, Mace was recorded exiting the van, saying she had made it only one hour before the vote, and posted separately of her walking down the hallway, as her dog found her office door.

“Come hell or high water, we were showing up to vote on the Big, Beautiful Bill today,” Mace wrote.

Loomer, though not mentioning Mace by name, took to X on Wednesday, writing “I think social media has made a lot of our members of Congress care more about being celebrities than doing their jobs in Congress.”

“They really want to be watched and adored. They seem to think we care about their day to day lives and personal drama. Some of them have meltdowns on IG stories,” Loomer wrote.

“Can you just do your job and go vote?” she added.

Loomer then replied “case in point” and directly tagged Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.), who said in a video that his flight was cancelled, and noted that he was driving to Chicago to catch one of the first flights.

“This is part of the glamorous life of Congress, I guess,” Pocan said in a video diary. “Gonna get back though to vote ‘no’ for sure, and I’ll keep you updated on everything as things go on the next couple days.”

Some users had speculated that Loomer was indirectly referring to Mace, who posted over a dozen times about her trip.

“I like Nancy Mace but she might be the rights AOC when it comes trying to be a celebrity! She puts out some cringe social media content!” someone wrote.

Another added: “Must be this!!”

Congressional Republican leaders are pushing for a Wednesday vote in the House on the GOP’s sweeping budget megabill, which had narrowly passed the Senate on Tuesday. They are hoping to meet Trump’s Fourth of July deadline for the legislative package to advance to his desk.

The bill would extend his signature first-term tax cuts, while cutting funding to government programs like Medicaid. Democrats have remained as a united front against the legislation, while Republicans still need to win over some holdouts, having often succeeded by only one vote along the way.
