4 killed, 14 injured in shooting outside River North bar

No arrests have been made. Police said the suspects were in a dark-colored car that immediately drove away after the shooting.

The victims, three of whom are in critical condition, range in age from 21 to 32. All were taken to local hospitals Wednesday night.

Mayor Brandon Johnson and Chicago Police Department Superintendent Larry Snelling are expected to hold a press conference later this morning.

“Last night, an act of violence occurred within the vicinity of our restaurant— and it shook us deeply,” a post on Artis’ Instagram read. “Artis was created as a safe space. A space where Black, Brown, Queer, and allied communities could gather, be celebrated, and feel at home in River North. We’ve always led with that mission. And what happened last night disrupted it in the most painful way.”

Buckzz, the rapper, acknowledged the shooting on social media with multiple posts sending prayers to the victims.

This is a developing story.
