Melanie “Mel B” Brown has said, “I do!”
The English songstress walked down the aisle with the love of her life, Rory McPhee, in a lavish romantic ceremony held in her hometown.
However, her special day was missed by members of her pop group, Spice Girls, with only one in attendance.
Mel B Ties The Knot Without Most Of Her Spice Girls
On Saturday, July 5, Mel B exchanged vows with McPhee, a hairstylist, in a lavish nuptial held in the Crypt of St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, England.
The wedding venue holds significance in British history, as it was where late Princess Diana and Prince Charles’s July 1981 wedding took place.
“It’s a big deal because when you get married there — not many people are allowed to get married there. You have to be kind of special,” Mel B said of the location, per PEOPLE Magazine.
For her big day, the bride, often adoringly known to fans as Scary Spice, looked ravishing in an ivory gown by Josephine Scott. The custom piece featured a corset bodice, with pearls adorning the neckline and the sleeves.
McPhee, on the other hand, opted for a traditional Scottish kilt attire as he said “I do” to the pop singer. Mel B’s wedding was nothing short of a family affair, as her three daughters, Phoenix, 26, Angel Iris, 18, and Madison, 13, were her bridesmaids.
Following the church ceremony, a reception was held at the Shangri-La Hotel inside The Shard, with many A-listers in attendance. The list of VIP guests includes Cara Delevingne, Daisy Lowe, Katherine Ryan, and fellow Spice Girl, Emma Bunton.
Two Spice Girls Missing From Mel B’s Wedding
Despite the star-studded crowd, eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice two of Mel B’s band members were missing. Victoria Beckham, known as Posh Spice, and Geri Halliwell, AKA Ginger Spice, didn’t attend.
Although it’s unknown why the band members were absent, fans who hoped for a reunion at the wedding expressed their frustrations online.
One user wrote, “Congratulations to @OfficialMelB. Baby Spice was the only Spice Girl who could be bothered to show up for her fellow Spice [Girls.] Bollocks to the rest of them, I wish them both a life of health, wealth and happiness.”
Another comment read, “Emma looks gorgeous, but it is so disappointing she was the only one!”
A third fan observed, “Victoria sending her parents to Mel B’s wedding is so f-cking funny.”
Victoria Beckham Sends Her Love To Mel B

Although Beckham was nowhere to be seen on her former bandmate’s special day, she paid tribute to Mel B in her own special way. The fashion designer took to her Instagram Stories to send some virtual “love” to her colleague.
She uploaded a black-and-white clip of the Spice Girls reunited alongside the caption, “Congratulations @officialmelb and @rorymcphee on your special day! I couldn’t be more excited for you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness. Kisses xx.”
In a follow-up snap, Posh shared a photo of just her and the bride, writing, “Sending you love @officialmelb [red heart emoji]. @rorymcphee is a very lucky man!”
Nevertheless, Beckham contributed to the wedding in a big way by designing the bridesmaids’ dress that Mel’s eldest daughter wore for the ceremony, HELLO! confirms.
Although Mel didn’t show up in her colleague’s design, she previously gushed about Beckham wanting to design a dress for her.
Emma “Scary Spice” Bunton Saves The Day
With Beckham and Halliwell absent, all the attention was turned to Bunton, the only Spice Girl in attendance.
The 49-year-old looked fabulous in an elegant mid-length pink gown featuring a mini-drape paired with a matching fascinator, silver sparkly shoes, and a white purse.
She shared details of her outfit on Instagram. Bunton didn’t only represent with her fashion, as she had a “secret role” in the ceremony. Reports say that Scary Spice was scheduled to sing at the wedding. She confirmed her performance to The Mirror, saying, “I am so excited to be here. I can’t wait for the wedding.”
Mel B Snags Victory In $5 Million Lawsuit By Ex-Husband
Amid Mel’s celebration as she ties the knot for the third time, the “America’s Got Talent” judge is knee-deep embroiled in a bitter legal battle with her ex-husband, Stephen Belafonte.
However, she scored a major win just months before her nuptials. As The Blast reported, the songstress’s request to pause on her turning over bank records as part of the $5 million court battle with her ex was granted.
Mel filed a motion, with her team arguing that she should not be forced to accept her ex-husband’s demands for sensitive information until a judge reviewed her dismissal motion.
Belafonte demanded that his ex-wife turn over “sensitive financial records dating back eighteen or more years” as well her Amazon purchases.
