Jalen Hurts named MVP of Super Bowl 59 as Eagles take down Chiefs

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts came into Super Bowl LIX as the other quarterback.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes – a two-time Super Bowl MVP – was getting all the attention while going for a third-straight Super Bowl title.

Hurts stole the attention Sunday night, leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a 40-22 victory and winning the MVP award.

“God is good,” Hurts said on FOX. “We’re here, living the highs and the lows. Couldn’t be here without my teammates. The effort and the determination everybody displayed to get to this point. … This has never been about what anyone else does. It’s always been about what we do and how we respond to certain things.”
