This weekend was one to remember for Brymaya fans! Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales won Love Island USA 2025 on Sunday, and we can’t get enough of the couple. Bryan Arenales is Puerto Rican and Guatemalan and Amaya Espinal is Dominican, making the pair the first Latino couple to win in the show’s history.

Bryan and Amaya’s Love Island Journey

“Brymaya” has been a fan favorite pairing since episode 27, when Bryan defended Amaya against Ace, Austin, and Zak’s critiques of her emotional nature and use of terms of endearments. “Coming from a Hispanic household, calling someone babe, mi amor, mi vida, that’s just how we talk,” Bryan said during the challenge. “You’re telling her to meet you halfway, you gotta meet her halfway, too.”

It was no surprise when Amaya dumped Zak for Bryan in episode 30. The pair got to share a private night in the hideaway in episode 32, and became exclusive in the last episode. “Every decision led me to find my personal Prince Charming,” Amaya confessed in the finale. “I met you, a man who fills up my cup, embraces the waterfall of my emotion.”

The pair won first place, with Nic and Olandria placing second, Huda and Chris placing third, and Iris and Pepe placing fourth. Bryan picked the $100,000 envelope, and split the reward with Amaya without question.

What does the future hold for Brymaya?

Bryan and Amaya became exclusive in the finale, and made it clear that they wanted to continue their relationship outside of the villa. They are conveniently both from the Northeast, with Bryan from Boston and Amaya from New York City.

Who is Amaya Espinal?

Amaya Espinal is a 25-year-old first-generation Dominican-American cardiac nurse from New York City. While some Love Islanders found her too outspoken and emotional, her authenticity and hilarious one-liners have won over viewers since her arrival in episode 4.

She racked up many quotable moments in the show, including her “I never said I was perfect” song, “I’m not gonna get a sugar rush from all the word candy you’re feeding me,” “We build you,” “God forbid i’m a sensitive gangster,” “We don’t want to do that though” “You are an extremely odd individual,” “Last time I checked I have 10 toes, not one missing,” and many, many more.

Her birthday is November 9, 1999, making her a Scorpio. She graduated with her nursing degree from Long Island University in 2021. Her Instagram is @amayaelizabeth.

Who is Bryan Arenales?

Bryan, known by friends as “Brizz,” is a 28-year-old financial accountant, real estate agent, marathon runner, and bartender introduced at Casa Amor in episode 19. He and Chris were the only contestants from Casa Amor to make it to the finale. He was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts but is of Guatemalan and Puerto Rican descent, according to his Instagram bio.

Bryan graduated with a finance degree from Salem State University in 2019 and also attended the 2018 Summer Venture in Management business program at Harvard University. His Instagram is @brizzzworks.

Amaya’s Love Island Journey

Amaya arrived as a bombshell in episode 4, and coupled up with single Ace when she arrived. The relationship quickly deteriorated, resulting in multiple arguments. She recoupled with Austin in episode 14, though he expressed that her forwardness made him uncomfortable. In Casa Amor she was not picked by any of the bombshells to couple up with, though Zak later chose to recouple with her and dump Olandria.

The polls in episode 27 revealed that Amaya was a favorite to win regardless of who she was with. America ranked her as the most genuine, most trustworthy, and most likely to go on vacation with.

Bryan’s Love Island Journey

Bryan stated that he was most interested in the “Dominicana,” upon his arrival to Casa Amor, which could have meant Amaya or Andreina, but it was later made clear that he meant Andreina when he chose to couple up with her. The chemistry fizzled quickly, and Andreina made sure he knew that the relationship was open. The pair did not seem to be very interested in progressing their connection, and Andriena set her sights on Pepe. Bryan did not vote to save Andreina from being dumped in episode 27, and she was sent home.

When Amaya was attacked by Ace, Austin, and Zak during the “Stand on Business” challenge, Bryan defended her passion, saying that “Coming from a Hispanic household, calling someone babe, mi amor, mi vida, that’s just how we talk.”

The pair grew a strong connection after this gesture, and Amaya chose Bryan to couple up with in episode 30. The pair got to share a private night in the hideaway in episode 32. They became exclusive in the finale, and won first place. Bryan chose to split his $100,000 prize with Amaya.
