Astronomer CEO Andy Byron went viral after a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on July 16, 2025, where he appeared on the event’s kiss cam.
The jumbotron showed Byron with his arms around Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s Chief People Officer, as the two quickly ducked out of the frame. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin remarked, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy,” as the awkward moment unfolded in front of thousands of fans.
The footage prompted online speculation about a possible affair. Multiple sources confirmed that Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, not Cabot. Social media users quickly identified Kerrigan as his apparent wife, offering messages of support. “Andy Byron’s wife has now dropped her married name on Facebook and left comments open,” wrote X user Mrs. SpaceX. By Thursday, she had deleted her Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Kristin Cabot and her ex-husband, Kenneth Thornby, finalized their divorce in 2022. Cabot joined Astronomer as Chief People Officer in November 2024. Byron publicly praised her hiring, saying, “Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise… makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer.” Cabot had said she felt “energized” by her hiring conversations with Byron.
Byron, who became Astronomer’s CEO in 2023, deleted his LinkedIn page following the incident. He previously served as president of Lacework.
Byron and Cabot were seen on camera trying to conceal their faces. One image showed Cabot placing a hand over her face and turning away.
