Ted Lasso season 4 is officially underway, but there’s one familiar face missing from the group.
On Monday, July 21, Apple TV+ announced that production had begun on the long-awaited season in Kansas City, Missouri, and released a first-look photo at some of the beloved stars getting back to work.
Jason Sudeikis, who plays the titular character, Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Juno Temple (Keeley Jones) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins) were all seated in a corner booth at a restaurant in the photo, looking lovingly at Sudeikis’ Ted.
Phil Dunster, who played moody AFC Richmond player Jamie Tartt, will not be a series regular on the upcoming season, Deadline reported.
The English actor, 33, has reportedly signed on to be a regular in a new HBO project, also helmed by Ted Lasso EP Bill Lawrence, which will prove to be a scheduling conflict.

It’s possible that Dunster could reprise his role as Jamie in a guest capacity, though, at some point in season 4.
Apple TV+ did not immediately return PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent, and Brendan Hunt, Coach Beard, are also returning for season 4.
Per the streamer, six new stars are joining the ranks too, all in roles that have yet to be announced: Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey and Abbie Hern.
The role of Henry, Ted’s son, has also been recast, and Grant Feely will be stepping in. Gus Turner previously played Sudeikis’ onscreen son in all three seasons.
Per the synopsis, in season 4, “Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team.”

“Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would,” the synopsis continued.
Filming for season 4 will take place in both London and Kansas City, per Apple TV+.
