Apple TV+ teases new show coming soon from Breaking Bad creator

Three years ago, Apple struck a deal with Vince Gilligan, creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, for a new show at Apple TV+. Now, the company is teasing its unveiling with a live countdown timer.

Today Apple TV’s X account posted a cryptic teaser that read: “Happiness is Contagious.”

The new show in question is Vince Gilligan’s next project, starring Rhea Seehorn from Better Call Saul.

Very little is known about the new series, other than three years ago it was called a “grounded genre drama.”

It’s also expected to go a different direction than the crime-focused Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Apple’s YouTube channel is now hosting a live countdown to the time we’ll presumably get a full unveiling.

It seems this Friday, July 25 near 3:00 p.m. Eastern is when Apple plans to reveal the series details.

Don’t expect the new show to actually release on Friday. Rather, that’s more likely when Apple will announce details like the show’s name, release date, and plot summary.

Based on today’s teaser, and what an Apple TV+ executive shared recently about projects he’s looking forward to, it seems Vince Gilligan’s new show is likely to debut this fall as a tentpole premiere.
