Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson‘s chemistry is playing out off-screen.
The Naked Gun costars have been fueling romance speculation for weeks as they’ve stepped out on the press run for their summer comedy. Just one night after they posed on the carpet together with their children from previous relationships, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Anderson and Neeson are dating.
“It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other,” the insider said.
Earlier in the month, Anderson opened up about their then-seemingly platonic relationship in a conversation with Entertainment Weekly, saying, “I think I have a friend forever in Liam.”
“We definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving, and he’s a good guy,” she continued, adding that it was “very meaningful and such an honor” to share The Naked Gun experience with him.

As Anderson and Neeson began the press tour for The Naked Gun, the costars teased a potential romance. In mid-July 2025, the pair got into character on the red carpet at the movie’s London premiere, when Anderson planted a kiss on Neeson’s cheek.
One week later, during an appearance on the Today show, the costars fueled relationship speculation by pretending to passionately make out when the cameras cut to them to tease their segment. They pretended to be caught off guard once they broke apart and continued to play coy about their relationship status.
“Oh my goodness, nothing is sacred,” Anderson teased to co-host Craig Melvin.
Melvin then asked them directly, “What’s the deal here? You’re both single right now. There’s clearly chemistry. Are you two an item?”
Anderson replied, “What?! I don’t understand the question,” while Neeson shook his head, adding, “Craig, Craig.”

Shortly after Anderson and Neeson’s flirty appearance on the Today show, a source close to the movie told PEOPLE that they have a “budding romance in the early stages.”
The insider added that the costars are “enjoying each other’s company.” Reps for Anderson and Neeson could not be reached for comment.

The pair might play coy when it comes to details of their relationship, but they aren’t shy when it comes to giving each other high praise. In October 2024, Anderson told PEOPLE that Neeson is “the perfect gentlemen,” adding that he “looked after” her during filming.
“He brings out the best in you … with respect, kindness and depth of experience,” she said. “It was an absolute honor to work with him.”
Neeson had his own sweet words for his costar: “With Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her. She’s just terrific to work with.”
The actor added, “I can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She’s funny and so easy to work with. She’s going to be terrific in the film.”

In May 2025, Anderson opened up further to Entertainment Weekly about what it was like working alongside Neeson, saying that their “chemistry was clear from the start.”
“We have the utmost respect for one another,” she said, adding that working with him was “electric in a way.”
Anderson continued, “He is a legend and deserving of the title.”

During her May 2025 conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Anderson shared that she and Neeson bonded over their shared “love of literature and a good laugh.”
The actress shared that, during filming, she would leave a special surprise in his dressing room: sourdough bread, cookies and muffins.
However, she assured the outlet that their relationship stayed professional.
“We had many dinners out with the cast,” she said. “I invited him and his assistant over for romantic dinners with me and my assistant so our relationship stayed ‘professionally romantic’ during filming.”
While speaking with PEOPLE that July, Neeson shared his honest review on Anderson’s baking skills, calling them “superb.”
“That sourdough bread was something else,” he said. “And I know the effort it takes.”
