Stores were sold to an affiliate of Onyx Partners, Ltd. in a $947 million all-cash deal, USA TODAY reported. The deal, announced on July 25, is expected to close Sept. 8.

The retailer previously announced it would be closing seven stores across the U.S. this spring. No Wisconsin locations were affected by closures, though the store at the former Northridge Mall was demolished in late January.
