Carlos Correa’s first game with the Astros since Game 6 of the 2021 World Series — if he’s in Friday’s lineup in Boston — will stream exclusively on Apple TV+.

Houston Astros fans wanting to watch what has become an even more highly anticipated game will need an additional subscription.

Friday’s 6:10 p.m. series opener between the Astros and Red Sox at Fenway Park — the return of Carlos Correa after his trade back to Houston and Alex Bregman’s first game against his old team since departing for Boston in free agency last offseason — will exclusively stream on Apple TV+ as part of the service’s weekly MLB package. Hence, it will not be available on Space City Home Network, the Astros’ usual TV home, or MLB.TV, the league’s streaming service for out-of-market fans.

Wayne Randazzo (play-by-play), David Ross (analyst) and Heidi Watney (field reporter) will call the game.

An Apple TV+ subscription, which costs $9.99 a month, is required to watch the game. New and qualified returning subscribers may sign up for a one-week free trial.

The game can be streamed on the Apple TV app, which is available on Apple devices and on certain non-Apple devices such as select smart TVs and video game consoles including the PS5, PS4 and XBox. The game can also be watched through a web browser at tv.apple.com. 

The Red Sox game is the first of consecutive Friday night games for the Astros on Apple TV+, with next week’s series opener at Yankee Stadium also exclusive to the streamer.

That Yankees game will be Houston’s fourth — and final — Apple TV+ game of the season. The streamer released its September schedule of games and the Astros aren’t on it.

Sunday’s 10:35 a.m. Astros-Red Sox finale also will be a streaming exclusive on The Roku Channel. But Roku’s MLB games are free to watch.
