Viktor Gyokeres is in the starting lineup for our first pre-season friendly at Emirates Stadium.
Our summer signing came on as a late substitute against Tottenham Hotspur in Hong Kong last week, and takes his place up front against Villarreal to make his first start.
Christian Norgaard is the other new arrival in the starting lineup, while Noni Madueke is in the matchday squad for the first time, among the substitutes.
Jurrien Timber and Gabriel Magalhaes are also both on the bench, having not featured at all during the Asia Tour matches.
Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Cristhian Mosquera are also in the squad, as is 15 year old talent Max Dowman.
The back four is unchanged from our last run out – with David Raya starting behind Ben White, William Saliba, Jakub Kiwior and Myles Lewis-Skelly. Norgaard is in midfield with Mikel Merino and Ethan Nwaneri with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli either side of Gyokeres up front.
Former Gunner Nicolas Pepe starts for our visitors – who finished fifth in La Liga last season. Fellow ex-Gunner Denis Suarez is among the subs.
