Miley Cyrus’ Brother Sends Unexpected Harsh Message to Katy Perry

Trace Cyrus apparently doesn’t hold back when it comes to matters involving his famous sister, Miley Cyrus.

The 36-year-old rocker recently spoke out in an unexpected tirade about Katy Perry, who he claims has been copying the “Flowers” songstress over the years.

In a video message posted to Instagram on Friday, April 18, Trace said, “I first knew Katy Perry and her team were lame as f—k when her career was first dying.”

“And they were like, ‘Hm, what can we do? Well, what worked for Miley? She cut her hair off and it broke the internet and everyone freaked out and she bleached it blonde. We should do that with you, Katy,'” the musician continued. He also made the claim that Perry’s music has transitioned to a similar sound as Miley’s in recent years.

“You’re now going to do the same stuff that Miley did and blow up,” he added in the video, before declaring, “Guess what? It didn’t f—king work—and then they just tried some EDM song or some shit because EDM’s hot. Didn’t f—king work, and now they’re going to send your ass to space. Didn’t f—king work! It’s not working. It’s backfiring.”

It’s no secret that Perry, 40—as well as the other women on board the recent Blue Origin space flight—have been receiving a hefty amount of criticism lately, with several other stars calling out Jeff Bezos and his company for wasting resources on the flight.

But Trace’s issues with the “Firework” singer seem to be deeper than that. He added in the caption of his post, “Didn’t work…try again 🎲.”

“I’m living for how pissed you are,” one fan wrote in the comments on Trace’s Instagram post, while another user said, “Wait I love this brother dynamic 😭✨”

Miley, however, hasn’t made any negative comments about Perry lately, nor has she commented on or publicly endorsed Trace’s message for Perry.
