Thanks to her role as the plucky, upbeat Chelsea on The White Lotus, the world is getting to see more of Aimee Lou Wood, and thank goodness for that.

Last night, Wood attended the White Lotus finale event at the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village, California, where she looked like the coolest party girl in a silver minidress.

Wood has already been grabbing headlines for championing the natural smile, but it seems she’s here to help usher in another trend: the return of the chainmail dress.

Once popular amongst 2000s It girls like Paris Hilton and Kate Moss, Wood’s version was a shimmery scoop-neck number, with a square bottom hem that extended to her thighs and thin shoulder straps up top. It would be the perfect outfit for a night out in say, Thailand, especially if you’re going for a bender or a full-moon party on a yacht.

But Wood was in fact going to a far more understated event, and to complete her look, she slipped into a set of black tights and matched her dress with some silver strappy heels. At one point during a panel, the Sex Education star also added a black blazer, which created a dressy contrast to the otherwise eye-popping fit.

On screen, Wood’s fashion continuously caught our eye, thanks to her character’s crochet minidresses and artsy-inspired tees. But off screen, Wood has been just as exciting, whether she’s sporting a merlot gown covered in a pattern of crystal foxes, or a black leather look with a white statement bag. A Chelsea through and through.
