WASHINGTON (7News) — The Great Eight has tied the Great One in all-time NHL goals.
Alex Ovechkin scored his 894th goal against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday, tying Wayne Gretzky as the NHL’s All-Time leading goal scorer.
Ovechkin is doing so in dramatic fashion, notching two goals against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Ovechkin scored his first goal three minutes into the first period.
Among those in the crowd at a bustling Capital One Arena was Gretzky.
