LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM) is currently investigating the totality of damage caused by severe storms across Arkansas on April 2, 2025.
At the time of writing, ADEM officials confirmed that they have accounted for four injuries and no fatalities. 15,400 people across the state are without power. These numbers are subject to change as their investigation progresses.
Preliminary damage reports show that strong winds, hail, tornadoes, and flash flooding damaged homes, trees, power lines, and roadways.
With heavy rainfall expected to continue through Saturday, ADEM is working to provide sandbags to those in need. Officials say they currently have two sandbagging machines deployed in Saline and Jackson counties.
ADEM states that they are currently collaborating with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to establish additional machines in Arkansas, specifically in Independence, Prairie, and Sharp counties.
