Bill Belichick may be in hot water with the North Carolina football program partly due to an awkward interview with CBS.
During the interview, reportedly, his girlfriend Jordon Hudson interrupted proceedings multiple times, and even at one point delayed the shooting of the interview for 30 minutes after storming off.

Belichick was promoting his new book, “The Art of Winning”, but Hudson seemed to do her best to be a part of the interview and even disrupt it completely.
Belichick arrived at the interview with just Hudson and no other representatives to the surprise of CBS producers. Hudson isn’t his official manager, but she seems to be taking on that role.
Her growing influence on him has the UNC football program worried, according to a report from TMZ Sports. Things aren’t a huge problem yet, but as this awkward incident would indicate, it could develop into one.
At the very least, the interview was edited, but a part where Hudson interrupted the interviewer, Tony Dokoupil of “CBS Mornings”, to ask how he and Bill met was left in.

Numerous other instances of Hudson interrupting, including her correcting Belichick on some of his answers, were edited out. Eventually, during the Q&A, Hudson got heated enough to storm out and ask Belichick to follow her.
The ordeal delayed the interview and left Dokoupil feeling “spooked”, leading him to end the interview quickly after.
With the Belichick-Hudson relationship already being an awkward one due to the age difference, her becoming more of an influential part of his football life seems like a recipe for disaster.
Belichick is very experienced and well-trained with the media, so it is shocking he would show up to an interview with just his girlfriend and no one from his PR or publishing team for his book.
Belichick struggled to earn back a job in the NFL after parting ways with the New England Patriots, but after finally earning a job with the UNC football program, he has seemingly gotten into hot water with them.
It is unclear why Hudson made this interview so difficult, but it would seemingly indicate she is becoming more and more involved with Belichick’s work life, seemingly for the worse.

Unless she gets better at being a manager or decides to remove herself more from these types of situations, the UNC and Belichick relationship may be a short-lived one due to the potential drama she brings.
It will be interesting to see if, going forward,d this is a one-off incident or closer to the norm of how things will be with Belichick as the UNC football head coach.
