Billy Ray Cyrus is letting fans know it’s okay to ask for help.
The Hannah Montana alum, 63, released a remix of the song “ASK” featuring Grammy-winning guitarist Micki Free and country musician Ben Burgess on Friday, April 25. Billy Ray’s new music is about looking to a higher power in moments of need. The original version of the song was released in March.
The country singer wrote about the single on Instagram on Tuesday, April 22 ahead of its release, saying that “ASK” is “not just a remix.” He explained, “It’s actually the way the song was written to fit in my lyrics in this unique interpretation of healing ❤️🩹 and pure blues rock and soul that @official_mickifree brings to the song.”
“I think everyone may get a clearer understanding of what this song is about and the healing ❤️🩹 love and true respect for the fact that in life,” he continued. “Sometimes we all get lost….but finding your way back is always the tricky part! Just remember, life is a series of adjustments.”

The lyrics’ uplifting message in the blues-rock song reminds listeners to keep moving forward no matter how lost they may feel.
“It’s a long and winding road/It happens fast, so take it slow/You gon’ get there before you know/So, if you’re lost just ask,” Billy Ray sings in the chorus. “You know the future ain’t past/Buckle up and hit the gas/Won’t get there looking back/If you’re lost just ask.”

Up next for the two-time Grammy winner is an album produced by his son, Braison Cyrus, coming out this summer.
“I’ve spent this past year getting to know my dad better than I ever have,” Braison, 30, said in a statement, when the project was first announced.
“I’ve heard stories, jokes and songs that I don’t think anyone else has. It’s an opportunity to tell my dad’s story through music and I’m fortunate to be able to take it,” he continued. “Music, stories and family are the most important things to my dad so to bring the two together is a full circle endeavor.”
