The Boston Red Sox and pitcher Garrett Crochet have agreed on a 6-year, $170 million contract extension, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.The deal will begin in 2026 and includes an opt-out after 2030. Crochet’s deal is the largest ever for a pitcher with four or more years of service. The previous record was Jacob DeGrom’s five-year, $137.5 million deal with the New York Mets.
