BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Mayor Todd Alcott declared a state of emergency Sunday afternoon for the city of Bowling Green.

Drivers are urged to avoid travel as multiple roads remain flooded and closed off with barriers and law enforcement. Officials say anyone caught bypassing roadblocks will be cited.

A press conference was scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
