Browns NFL Draft: Greg Cosell praises one of Cleveland’s rookie quarterbacks

The Cleveland Browns’ 2025 NFL Draft class has been complimented by multiple members of the national media over the past two days, but one player in particular was praised by NFL Analyst and NFL Films Senior Producer Greg Cosell.

Cosell had some good things to say about Cleveland’s third-round pick, Quarterback Dillon Gabriel, on a recent edition of the Ross Tucker Podcast.

“I think that Gabriel is a guy that has a natural feel for the position. I think he’s got subtle and nuanced pocket movement, which you don’t see from a lot of college quarterbacks. I think he has a pretty refined feel for when to come off intermediate route concepts and check the ball down. He rarely gets stuck in the pocket.”

He then goes on to describe how Kevin Stefanski’s offense is built on rhythm and timing with RPO and quick-game concepts, which is exactly what Gabriel needs to operate in at the NFL level to be successful.
