Nicky Katt’s cause of death has been revealed.
The actor, best known for “Dazed and Confused” and the Fox series “Boston Public,” died by suicide in his Los Angeles home.
Law enforcement sources exclusively told TMZ that the 54-year-old’s body was found hanging in his apartment bedroom on April 8. Katt’s landlord was the one to discover him.
Five days before Katt was found dead, his landlord visited the apartment to remind him that rent was due.
Per TMZ, Katt did not leave a suicide note. His apartment door was left open, but by the time his landlord discovered him, he was believed to have been dead at least a day.
Born on May 11, 1970, in South Dakota, Katt got his start on TV with small roles on shows like “Quincy, M.E.,” “Father Murphy,” “Fantasy Island” and “CHiPs.” His big break came in 1993 when he snagged the role of Clint Bruno in “Dazed and Confused.”
