F1 Australian Grand Prix live updates: Follow latest from the first race of the 2025 season

The 24-race, 2025 Formula One season begins with today’s Australian Grand Prix around Albert Park, Melbourne.

Lando Norris will start on pole alongside his McLaren teammate and home racer, Oscar Piastri.

Defending champion Max Verstappen will line up third, with the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton in P7 and P8 respectively.

Grid (front): 1 NOR, 2 PIA, 3 VER, 4 RUS, 5 TSU, 6 ALB, 7 LEC, 8 HAM, 9 GAS, 10 SAI.
