LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A small, close-knit congregation is reeling after Sunday’s mass shooting in Lexington.
We are learning more about the four people shot, including two who died, at a small church.
The violence left the church’s pastor and his son-in-law injured, and killed the pastor’s wife and their daughter.

The tragedy has impacted many.
Police say Guy House opened fire Sunday and killed two people. Star Rutherford says she and her mother were downstairs cooking lunch when House bolted in and demanded to see her sister, Angel.
“I just want to speak to Angel, that’s our sister. My mother said Angel is not here. He said ‘well I guess someone is gonna have to die then.’ And shot twice at her. The first time, she ducked and missed. Second time hit her in the chest,” said Rutherford.
Rutherford says her mother, Beverly Gumm, was a wonderful person and “loved her babies and loved the Lord.” She said Gumm would deliver food to the homeless and would help drug addicts.
Rutherford says her father and brother-in-law are in the hospital and are sedated. They are pastor Jerry Gumm and Randy Combs.
