OSAKA – J-League football club Vissel Kobe said their friendly against Spanish champions Barcelona will go ahead on Sunday as originally scheduled.
The latest development came two days after the La Liga side announced the cancellation of the preseason game at Kobe’s Noevir Stadium, citing “serious contractual breaches on behalf of the promoter.”
Vissel and their parent company Rakuten Group Inc. worked together to save the match commemorating the 30th anniversary of the club’s founding, announcing late Friday that it would be played.
