NEW YORK (WJW) — Country singer Morgan Wallen is no stranger to controversy — getting sued by a fan for canceling a concert, using racist language and throwing a chair off a rooftop. This weekend, Wallen is back in the spotlight.

Early Sunday morning, as the credits were rolling on “Saturday Night Live” where he had just performed as the musical guest, Wallen could be seen making a quick exit.

Guest host Mikey Madison, fresh off her Best Actress Oscar win for “Anora,” was wrapping up the show, thanking everyone and explaining she had a wonderful time, when Wallen leaned over and whispered something in her ear.

That’s when he quickly made moves off the front of the stage while Madison and the rest of the cast celebrated that it was all over.

Not long after, Wallen posted a photo to his Instagram stories of a private plane with the text: “Get me to God’s country.”

During the show Saturday night, Wallen sang two tunes from his upcoming album “I’m the Problem.”

He was last on “SNL” in 2020 — at first being disinvited for not following COVID-19 protocols, but then performing two months later.

Wallen is coming to Cleveland for a two-night stop at Huntington Bank Field on Aug. 15 and Aug. 16. Special guests include Miranda Lambert, Ella Langley, Thomas Rhett and Ella Langley.
