Here he addressed the ongoing speculation of a romance between himself and Sydney Sweeney. While he didn’t confirm or deny anything outright, he offered a vague response that kept fans guessing.
“Timing is everything in this world, isn’t it?,” Powell jokingly asked on TODAY. The 36-year-old actor then noted that his sister Leslie Powell, who recently tied the knot, and Sweeney are “great friends,” and showered immense praise for the former’s wedding, which took place in his hometown of Texas. “The Powell’s know how to do it right, so all the people that love her were there,” he added. Here, Glen Powell also mentioned that he was a groomsman at his sister’s wedding, jokingly naming himself the “master of ceremonies.”
Powell’s mother Cyndy Powell recently shut down rumors of his and Sweeney’s romance in a recent interview with The Daily Mail. She noted that Sweeney is just “really close friends” with the family, particularly with Glen Powell’s sister.
Powell and Sweeney’s reunion at the former’s sister’s wedding takes place roughly a year following their press tour for Anyone But You.
