Billy Ray Cyrus‘ ex Firerose has reacted to the country singer’s new relationship.
The Australian singer’s career remains her cornerstone amid Cyrus’ romance with Elizabeth Hurley, a source tells PEOPLE.
“Firerose is currently focused on her music, which continues to inspire new souls globally every day. She’s rising in her next chapter of artistic evolution, which reflects the profound strength, healing and transformation she’s been forged through.”
The source adds, “She’s living her purpose by uplifting others out of the darkness with God’s love at the forefront.”
Firerose, 37, released the single “RISE UP” in early April. She and Cyrus, 63, confirmed their romance in August 2022. They got married in October 2023 and subsequently filed for divorce in May 2024, with the split taking a rocky turn as both parties accused the other of abuse in court filings. Their divorce was finalized in August 2024.
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer hard-launched his romance with Hurley, 59, on Easter Sunday, April 20 with an Instagram picture. Cyrus and the actress had connected in 2022 on the set of the Christmas in Paradise movie, per a source.
Reps for Cyrus and Hurley had no comment on the new relationship.

“Liz is great and visited him for Easter. They’ve been seeing each other romantically for a little bit,” the source said. “And how lucky is he? Liz is lovely. She’s very warm, positive and the best to be around.”
“They had a great time shooting that movie together — it was beautiful and relaxed, and it really stuck with him,” the source added of their time in Nevis shooting the holiday film.

Before his relationship with Hurley and marriage to Firerose, Cyrus was married to Tish Cyrus from 1993 until they separated in 2022. They share five children: daughters Miley, Noah and Brandi, and sons Trace and Braison. Cyrus is also the father of Christopher Cody, whom he welcomed with Kristen Luckey before his relationship with Tish, now 57.
