On Wednesday afternoon, the Detroit Tigers wrap up their three-game interleague series with the San Diego Padres, continuing their 10-game homestand.
While the Tigers have had their offense carry them to victory, as well as keep them in games, they were limited on Tuesday night. Detroit was limited to just three hits, failing to score a run. A two-run home run from the Padres’ Elias Diaz ended up being the difference in a 2-0 loss for the Tigers. It marks just the second time this season that Detroit has been shut out in a game.
