Injury woes compound for India in the Manchester Test | ICC World Test Championship | ICC

Having already made forced changes to their lineup owing to injuries for the Manchester Test, India were handed another injury scare on the opening day’s play against England.

Rishabh Pant’s stay in the middle was cut short after he sustained a nasty blow to his feet off a Chris Woakes full-length delivery.

The incident occurred in the 68th over when Pant attempted to reverse sweep Woakes but instead nicked the ball onto his right foot.

The BCCI confirmed Pant had been taken for scans and are monitoring his progress.
