Leading VShojo talent Ironmouse has announced her departure from the US-based agency, marking the biggest exit from the group since its founding in 2020. The announcement by Ironmouse via her official YouTube channel.
In her statement, she stated that her departure from VShojo is rooted in agency misalignment, as well as recently discovering financial mismanagement by VShojo. She cited unpaid funds owed to both herself and — most critically — over half a million dollars (USD) of charity money owed to the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) that remained unpaid.
She highlights two major “Subathon” events where she pledged substantial donations to the IDF. While the first donation was properly handled by VShojo, the second, a sum totalling $515,000, remains unpaid a year later.
The charity is deeply meaningful to her, as the VTuber has been vocal about her struggles with common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) disorder. The IDF has a page dedicated to Ironmouse and her co-collaborator CDawgVA in celebration of their frequent contributions.
“Unfortunately, I recently found out that for the past couple of months, I have been misled by VShojo. With the information that I currently have, I believe that I am owed a significant amount of funds which I have not been paid,” shared Ironmouse in her statement.
“Most importantly, the thing that hurts me the most is that the Immune Deficiency Foundation, which is the most important charity to me and also the reason why I’m here today, is owed over half a million dollars from VShojo.’
She has also been instructed by legal counsel to refrain from publishing any additional statements on the matter.
“As of right now, I am an independent VTuber. I am at a loss of what to do right now. I’m kind of processing everything. I’m very sad and very confused,” Ironmouse shared in her statement.
“Once again, I want to apologize to the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) and to my community who has shown so much support to me. I also wanted to say that all the ad money made from this video will go towards the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF). I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do.”
Following her announcement, multiple VTuber personalities and other top streamers have rallied to support her. One of those people is CDawgVA, who has collaborated with Ironmouse on multiple occasions, with the streamer himself doing several cycle-thons in Japan to raise funds for the IDF.
Well vshojo better get cycling and start raising some money. 🤡🤡
