Near the end of the first playoff game for the Boston Celtics, misfortune struck.
Small forward Jayson Tatum was hit with a foul in the fourth quarter of Game 1 against the Orlando Magic that sent him crashing down to the floor, leaving the game briefly to treat his wrist injury.
He came back but missed two free throws, favoring his wrist.
The Celtics were able to pull through against the Magic with a score of 103-86. In two days the Celtics will have to play the Magic again, with or without Jayson Tatum.
Coach Joe Mazzulla said that Tatum’s wrist is doing well and that the top-scorer on the Boston team is “alright.”
