After John Cena’s historic win at WrestleMania 41’s world championship, he had some fun with reporters at the WWE Post-Show

The 47-year-old pro wrestler, who defeated Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship title on Sunday, April 20, fielded questions after he claimed his 17th title – the most world championships in professional wrestling history, according to the WWE.

During the post-show, Cena was asked about his surprising alliance with longtime rival Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, which led to his championship match, and how he prepared for the match in a clip posted by the WWE on X that same night. Following both questions, the actor kept a straight face as he called them “clickbait.” A reporter from ESPN couldn’t get Cena to break from his grumpy character either.

“We haven’t seen you smile since Elimination Chamber. That’s not something that we’ve known you for — to not have you smile,” the reporter said. “Can we see you smile again now that you’ve got your 17th title?”

Cena was not having it.

“You know, that really seems like a clickbait question,” he joked, echoing his previous responses, prompting laughter in the press room. “I think you should be ashamed.”

He took one last question, only to shut it down in the same manner. In the WWE’s post, the organization poked fun at the moment.

“John Cena is just here so he doesn’t get fined…” WWE wrote on X.

The press event was another attention-grabbing performance by Cena, who announced last summer that he plans to retire from wrestling sometime in 2025. While some speculated his retirement might happen at WrestleMania 41, his Sunday night win to reclaim WWE’s top championship seemingly ensures the Fast & Furious star will stick around pro wrestling for at least a while longer.

“I just love it,” Cena told PEOPLE earlier this month, underscoring the difficult decision to walk away from his in-ring career and focus full-time on acting.

Previously, he told PEOPLE fans should expect “more unpredictability” to come with his wrestling character’s storyline, revealing his plan for what’s next “is something that goes beyond WWE programming.”
