Controversial rapper Kanye West appeared on the live streaming app for just seven minutes before he was banned by the website.
Kanye has appeared several times on the Amazon owned app since the beginning of the year – but by joining other users’ streams on Twitch and Kick. He has interacted with some of the app’s biggest names as well, including Kai Cenat, Adin Ross, and Amouranth, who frequently go live for their thousands of dedicated followers. However, Kanye never had an account of his own.
That was until April 25, when he decided to make the leap. It was short live, after the rapper was banned just minutes into his first stream alone on his account.

The rapper went live in the early hours on the day he joined. Then, the broadcast was quickly ended after just seven minutes by Twitch.
Despite this, Kanye managed to gain around 3,000 followers and averaged over half of that in viewership during his short stream.
Kanye had shared a link to his now shut-down Twitch account via a post to his X account. When you click, however, fans are met with a generic ban message.
“This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service,” it reads along with a ghost graphic and a button to browse related accounts.
West hasn’t commented on his ban yet, nor has Twitch, so the exact reason behind the suspension is still unknown.
Kanye is no stranger to controversy, having horrified fans in March by donning a KKK hood and spouting hateful speech on a video.

He was seen wearing a black leather outfit topped off with the unmistakeable pointed hood made famous by the KKK. He also started the interview wearing a t-shirt designed by the equally controversial Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, with a swastika medallion necklace.
Kanye has worn the necklace previously. He claimed the shocking outfit had been custom made for him, along with a second one in white.
He seemed to acknowledge how inappropriate and problematic the outfit was, when he was asked if he had worn it out in public. He revealed he had wanted to wear it the day before, but said he feared people would “put me in a hospital for my outfit”.
Kanye was slammed online for wearing the costume, with one social media user writing: “This dude just needs to go away.” Another added: “I would’ve ended the interview right there, an absolute clown.”
