Kyle Juszczyk is returning to the San Francisco 49ers!
The NFL player’s wife Kristin Juszczyk confirmed the news on Instagram on Saturday, March 15 with an emotional video showing the couple’s journey with the team over the last eight years, including the tight bonds they’ve made since then.
In the video set to Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times,” Kristin shared memorable moments of Kyle, 33, playing football and celebrating wins with teammates and their significant others. Other clips showed the couple walking out onto the field celebrating, and even stealing some smooches before and after games.
The pair could also be seen sharing sweet moments with other 49ers fans, as well as Kristin cheering him on alongside her friends and family. She ended the video showing unseen moments from the last season, including Kyle telling her, “I love you,” after they hugged at the end of a game.
“This past week has really made Kyle and I reflect on our past 8 years in the Bay,” Kristin captioned the video. “We grew up here. We turned friends into family here. We won championships here and we lost championships here. We feel so incredibly blessed to have called the bay home for the past 8 years.”
“It’s truly been the best years of our lives,” she continued. “Kyle’s curtain isn’t closed just yet and we couldn’t be more happy and emotional to stay home!!! ❤️ We’re forever Faithful @49ers @juicecheck44.”
Around the same time that she posted the video, ESPN insider Adam Schefter confirmed on X that he received news from a source that Kyle was “returning to play with the 49ers on a two-year, $8 million deal.”

Under the NFL fullback’s original contract, he would have gotten paid $4.1 million base salary to play in the upcoming season, per NBC News. Though the details of his new contract are under wraps, the outlet reported that he would be receiving a bit of a pay cut.
The new deal comes after a reportedly hectic week for the Juszczyk couple. On Monday, March 10, a source told Schefter that Kyle was informed that he would be released from the 49ers, according to ESPN.
Following the 49ers’ season-ending loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the NFL player indicated that he was still going to continue to play. He told reporters on Jan. 5, per ESPN, “I know I’m not done.”
“I’m definitely not done playing,” he added. “I’ve seen zero regression. I think especially, I mean, you can turn on the last two games and please show me where I’ve regressed, so I have no plans of stopping.”
Kyle previously played four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens before joining the 49ers in 2017. He was named a first-team All-Pro in 2023 and a second-team All-Pro in 2024, per NBC News.
