Elizabeth Hurley has found someone to heal her “Achy Breaky Heart.”
The actress — who’s best known for her role as Vanessa Kensington in the Austin Powers films — is currently dating singer Billy Ray Cyrus, PEOPLE confirmed in April 2025. The pair first crossed paths in 2022 on the set of Netflix’s Christmas in Paradise.
“They had a great time shooting that movie together — it was beautiful and relaxed, and it really stuck with [Cyrus],” a source told PEOPLE.
This isn’t the first time Hurley has found love with a costar. Back in the ’80s, she and Hugh Grant fell in love after working together on 1988’s Remando Al Viento, which translates to Rowing with the Wind. The pair dated for over a decade, ultimately going their separate ways in 2000.
Hurley welcomed her only child, son Damian, with businessman Steve Bing in 2002. She married Arun Nayar in 2007 and divorced him three years later.
The Gossip Girl star says she isn’t necessarily running to get married again.
“[I’m] open to the idea of being loved, loving someone, having someone fantastic in my life and sharing it,” she told Tatler in 2020. “I don’t know if marriage comes into that, to be honest.”
Hurley continued, “I’m not going to have more children, and I don’t need anyone to pay my bills or give me a roof over my head. But I would like someone for companionship, fun.”

The pair were frequently spotted on red carpets together, including to the 1994 premiere of Grant’s Four Weddings and a Funeral. There, Hurley wore her iconic Versace safety pin gown, which made headlines at the time.
Despite eventually breaking up, the exes have remained close friends. Grant is the godfather to Hurley’s son, Damian.
In 2020, the actress told PEOPLE that Grant is still her “go-to person” for work advice.
“I speak to [Grant] quite a lot. I still go to him for advice on scripts, even though he’s very happily married with five children and I’m very happy in my own life,” Hurley said.
A year later, The Royals alum said the key to their friendship is “respect.”
“I’m still extremely good friends with Hugh. You know, we went through so much together,” she told PEOPLE. “We’re always very aware that there are other people in our lives. There’s partners, there’s children. You have to move with the times and be very respectful of the present, which we are.”

Film producer Steve Bing and Hurley dated for 18 months in the early 2000s. Following their split, they welcomed their son, Damian, in April 2002. Bing denied being Damian’s father until a DNA test confirmed his paternity in June 2002.
The businessman died by suicide in 2020 — a tragedy that left Hurley “saddened beyond belief.” The actress called Bing’s death a “terrible end” and described their time together as “very happy” in a subsequent Instagram post.

“For the record, my husband Arun and I separated a few months ago,” she announced on X that December. “Our close family & friends were aware of this.”
Their divorce was finalized in 2011, but Nayar has remained close with Hurley and her son. Damian still refers to him as “dad,” per a post on his Instagram.
In May 2024, the trio reunited at the London premiere of Hurley’s movie, Strictly Confidential, which was written and directed by Damian.

“They’ve been seeing each other romantically for a little bit,” the insider said. “And how lucky is he? Liz is lovely. She’s very warm, positive and the best to be around.”
The pair first met on the set of 2022’s Christmas in Paradise, which they filmed in the Caribbean. At the time, Cyrus was romantically involved with his now-ex-wife Firerose.
Hurley is helping Cyrus move on from his divorce, an exclusive source close to the singer told PEOPLE.
