The infamous Casa Amor twist has officially come and gone on Love Island: USA season 7, and now that the newly-ousted islanders — JD Dodard, Zac Woodworth, Coco Watson and Vanna Einerson — have returned to the United States, they are spilling the tea regarding what really went on during their short-lived stint in the villa.
While all four individuals have taken to social media to answer questions about their respective Love Island: USA journeys, Vanna took things one step further, sitting down with Bachelor Nation’s Nick Viall for a recent episode of The Viall Files podcast. Needless to say, she discussed the good, the bad and the ugly from her experience on the reality television series, notably touching on the internet hate she’s received since.

For those who need a refresher, Vanna entered Casa Amor on day 17, immediately coupling up with Ace Greene after locking lips with all of the islanders. Despite having an initial spark with Ace, the 21-year-old brand ambassador decided to jump ship at the re-coupling ceremony on day 18, eager to explore her connection with TJ Palma instead.
Nevertheless, when the infamous Casa Amor twist came to a close, the feeling was not mutual after all, as TJ chose to couple up with Iris Kendall over Vanna. Because of this, the Utah native was dumped from the villa on day 20, leaving Fiji alongside fellow single islanders JD, Zac and Coco.
Despite being on the show for only three days, the amount of backlash Vanna has received has been astronomical, with a majority of said backlash having to do with the amount of plastic surgery and additional procedures she has had at just 21 years old. With individuals all across the globe poking fun at her appearance, Vanna broke her silence on the situation while speaking with Nick, explaining what her reaction was when she got her phone back after her Love Island: USA journey.
“ My first phone call I made before touching social media was to my mom, and she had said to me, ‘Maybe don’t go online until you’re home with me.’ I was like, ‘Wait, what? Why don’t go online? What do I do?’ she explained, sharing that she immediately checked social media — against her mother’s wishes — and “it was really, really hard” to see what the internet had to say about her.
She elaborated, “When I was seeing all of it, I was in the hotel room with Coco, and Coco was getting a lot of love, but I was getting so much hate… I had a moment where I just broke down crying, and I’m honestly so grateful for Coco that she was there, because she sat and prayed over me.”
Despite having Coco as a support system, Vanna realized that cyberbullying is a serious issue within the world and something that should not be taken lightly, adding that words “really hit so hard.”
She continued, “We do have our little things that we think about ourselves and that we see in ourselves, and all the things that these people were pointing out to me, I never saw in myself,” explaining that certain comments about her chin, cheeks, lips and more was a way of “pointing out new insecurities.”
Despite receiving a great deal of hate for her former surgeries, Vanna owned up to it, admitting that she has had her lips and breasts done in the past, and has been getting “filler in [her] face since [she] was like 14.” Believe it or not, her mother is actually her injector!
Although it has been a difficult time for Vanna, the Utah native is seemingly as confident as can be. The blonde beauty has proven her strength by continuing to put her best foot forward, moving past her short-lived stint on Love Island: USA with an ear-to-ear smile, and we could not be more proud of her.
Although Vanna is no longer with us, tune into brand new episodes of Love Island: USA season 7 every day — except Wednesdays — via Peacock to see what happens to the rest of our favorite islanders.
