MCU fans slam Avengers: Doomsday teaser for major spoiler, and we get it

Marvel fans have slammed the recent Avengers: Doomsday tease for pretty much removing all tension from an upcoming MCU movie.

Yesterday, in what was the most tedious, slow-burn MCU cast reveal ever, in a stream that lasted five and a half hours, we learned much of the cast that will star in Avengers: Doomsday and we also learned that production has begun.

Check out the Avengers: Doomsday cast teaser below!

Those Marvel names included the likes of Robert Downey Jr. (Doctor Doom), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Sir Ian McKellen (Magneto), and Sir Patrick Stewart (Professor X).

However, some of the other names have pretty much spoiled the upcoming Thunderbolts* which will signal the end of the MCU Phase Five as we venture into Phase Six beginning with The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Before we proceed, I will be mentioning potential spoilers for Thunderbolts* and Avengers: Doomsday. So you have been warned.

Among the other names mentioned, were Thunderbolt members David Harbour (Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), Lewis Pullman (Sentry/Robert Reynolds), Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier) and Wyatt Russell (U.S. Agent).

The only name missing from the Thunderbolts* cast was Olga Kurylenko who plays Taskmaster, introduced in the 2021 Black Widow movie.

So, unless Avengers: Doomsday features multiverse alternatives, that pretty much confirms that all members of the Thunderbolts team will survive apart from Taskmaster who may die or just leave for pastures new.

Understandably, fans are not too pleased about this potential MCU spoiler, ruined by Marvel Studios.

“I’m actually shocked they’re spoiling Thunderbolts*,” tweeted DanielRPK.

“Wow, spoilers for Thunderbolts*, but dang, great cast,” said tarasis.

“I’m surprised they listed the cast of Thunderbolts* before the movie dropped. lowkey spoilers,” exclaimed MikeMunez.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that Thunderbolts* has 100% been ruined but it’s not looking good. Only time will tell.

Thunderbolts* arrives in cinemas on 2 May 2025 and Avengers: Doomsday on 1 May 2026.
