Last night we saw a sight that we will hopefully see many, many times over the next fifteen years: Juan Soto hit a home run to help lead the Mets to victory. Soto’s bomb—his first as a member of the Amazins—came in the third inning against Hunter Brown and the Astros, giving the team their third run of the game following a two-run second inning. On the pitching side, Tylor Megill looked solid in his first start of the 2025 season, giving up just one run in five innings of work, and the Mets’ bullpen combined to pitch four scoreless innings to close out a 3-1 win.
