MLB Opening Day is officially in the books, and the first real day of the baseball season didn’t disappoint.
Six different games saw the winning run scored in the ninth inning or later, including wins by the Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies. There were blowouts, such as the Baltimore Orioles clubbin’ six home runs in a 12-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. And the Los Angeles Angels needed a position-player pitcher against the Chicago White Sox. It was wild.

And, of course, the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated their 2024 World Series title, first with a pregame ceremony that featured Kirk Gibson, Billie Jean King and Ice Cube, then with an adventurous win over the Detroit Tigers and reigning Triple Crown winner Tarik Skubal.
