MLB Opening Day 2025 scores, recap: Dodgers celebrate World Series title with win, while thrillers abound

MLB Opening Day is officially in the books, and the first real day of the baseball season didn’t disappoint.

Six different games saw the winning run scored in the ninth inning or later, including wins by the Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies. There were blowouts, such as the Baltimore Orioles clubbin’ six home runs in a 12-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. And the Los Angeles Angels needed a position-player pitcher against the Chicago White Sox. It was wild.
