West Palm Beach, FLA. (WPEC) — Tropical Depression Three, currently off the northern Florida and Georgia coast, is slowly drifting north-northwest, drawing in deep tropical moisture across the region.

This is fueling widespread showers and thunderstorms today, with heavy downpours potentially causing localized flooding, especially in low-lying areas.

Highs will reach the upper 80s to low 90s.

By Sunday, as the system moves away and a ridge builds in, drier conditions and more sunshine will return to South Florida, though heat index values may approach 105F in some areas.
