- Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had gone to Srinagar for the quick evacuation of tourists from Maharashtra.
- Following the dreadful terror attack in Pahalgam, the first special flight carrying 65 stranded Maharashtrian tourists arrived in Mumbai at 3:30 a.m. IST on April 24, 2025, at Terminal 1, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
- This is part of a coordinated evacuation effort launched by Shiv Sena, under the leadership of Mr. Shinde, to ensure the safe and dignified return of every citizen.

- Relatives of Manish Ranjan, one among the 26 people killed in Pahalgam terror attack, demanded immediate action against those found responsible for the brutal incident.
- Employed with the Intelligence Bureau in Hyderabad, Manish was on a vacation with his family members. His ancestral village Aruhi is located under Kargahar police station in Rohtas district of Bihar. He is survived by his wife and two children.

- Government to hold all-party meet on Pahalgam attack on April 24
- India will hold the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan “in abeyance with immediate effect”, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced on Wednesday (April 23, 2025). It is part of the five-pronged response that was decided upon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) in the aftermath of the terror strike in Pahalgam that left 26 dead.
- Sources in the Central government said Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are reaching out to the leaders of various political parties for the same.
